If they were going to pick students for an interview which is to be aired on national television, at least pick those who can speak malay fluently and not stutter like some kid with speech deficiency. I may not be a guru bahasa or someone who actually masters the language, but at least I know that it's a grave language mistake; to make up your own kata gandaan (especially when you're on a television show, in which the medium of communication is Bahasa Melayu!) I am also sometimes peeved when these people on television, clearly without much wit, make an attempt to create a malay word out of an english word when they just can't get an inkling of what the english word would be in malay. The hilarity that engulfs me whenever I watch such comical situation is beyond belief.
In other news, I managed to watch all the dvds that I brought home. Brokedown Palace was just mind-blowing and I cried at the part Keanu Reeves was giving a eulogy at G.Baby's funeral, in Hardball. It was just very moving. Moreover, to see such a small and adorable boy die of a gunshot is terribly depressing. But halfway through brokedown palace, I realised that I've actually watched the movie before and I remember it leaving a deep impression on me. Because it was all about being friends forever, I loved it a lot.
Despite how happening my weekend has turned out to be, I still found it to be rather dull. There was no live telecast of the liverpool game. bleh.
